How do you see your life after making the changes that you need to make?ġ2.Tarot spreads are an incredibly effective tool in unlocking hidden wisdom and understanding unconscious processes within ourselves. What can help you to make these changes?ġ1. What will you lose if you make the changes that you want to make?ġ0. What makes you frightened of, or threatened by, change?ĩ. What are the barriers to making the changes you need in your life?Ĩ. Shall we look at what you need to change in your life?ħ. What do you feel you need to change in your life?Ħ. Some questions we can ask when the death card appears in a reading.ģ. The danger lies in holding on to something that no longer works for you. It is inevitable, unstoppable and in its way perfect. Working from home, home schooling, cooking, yoga and meditation, spiritual renewal, gardening, discovering new and old movies on Netflix – life was tough but there were also opportunities that many people would not have discovered without lockdown.ĭeath rides a white horse signifying the purity of death. Enforced isolation gave families time together to come to know and appreciate one another better. For parents it signals the end of years of hands-on parenting and questions about identity and self-worth.Ĭoronavirus meant the end of ‘normal life’ for millions of people but it also enabled many to explore new possibilities. An unwillingness to explore new people, places, talents, ideas, can stop us moving on.ĭeath can appear in a reading when children are leaving home to make a life for themselves. Recognising stagnation and decay are principles of Death: old ideas, fears, prejudices that keep us stuck. We repeat negative patterns that we know are detrimental to our happiness because the alternative is unknown and fearful. We are unable to let go, reluctant to end something that no longer serves us well, but with which we have become comfortable. We might fear change because we cannot conceive of what life will be in the aftermath. The Death cards signifies renewal, transformation, endings, change, transition, letting go, and releasing pain. And we had been privileged to learn what it is to have a wonderfully supportive parent who will always provide a safety net, without judgement and without asking for anything in return. We looked after our mother and each other, and we finally learned that we were now the adults, whatever that meant. We spent our Christmases and summer holidays together and our parents were the repository of our family stories and memories. We were all adults, scattered around the world with families of our own, and yet we still always turned to our father for advice and help. She was crying as she said, “Now we’ve got to grow up”. One of my sisters called me on the phone. I was in my forties when we realised our father was dying of cancer. Our parents were strong and supportive and the glue that held our family together. Acceptance may not be easy but coming to terms with change is necessary if we are to grow into our best selves. Rejection, denial, grief, disempowerment, vulnerability, questioning, are natural responses to endings or change. The Death card appears in a reading when a significant part of our life is ending. The rising Sun assures us that there will be a new beginning and we will be given renewed life as we realise all the possibilities that lie ahead. The Tower is our belief system, the meaning we attach to our lives, and it can be both our safe haven and our prison. On the horizon the Sun is rising over the twin towers that we see in so many images from the Tarot, but it is especially reminiscent of The Moon card where we are held captive only by our fears and illusions. In the background we can see an inundation from the gigantic waterfall that floods the plain, while the ship that represented hope and endeavour in the early Wands is trying to navigate the waters of emotion and loss in both the conscious and unconscious mind. The number 5 in tarot symbolises the inevitability and importance of change. It illustrates that no matter what our status, Death must always be victorious.ĭeath as an honourable and reliable knight carries his banner with the huge, dominating image of a 5 petaled rose steadfast in his hand. Even the priestly figure of the Hierophant tries to stop him in vain. In the Rider-Waite deck, we see the armoured figure of Death, like a knight of old, riding his horse at a steady pace over the bodies of kings, children and even the archetypal figures of the Major Arcana. Not many people clap their hands and shout “Oh goody!” at the sight of the armoured skeleton on his white horse with the word ‘Death’ beneath it. The Death card can seem scary, even for experienced tarot readers who, when it comes up in a reading, know that many of their sitters will be anxious. The Death Card in the Rider-Waite Tradition In the end, the greatest blessing of all behind our magical summer Grand Water Trine is that it will help us reunite with our soul. Since Mercury will also continue to move retrograde in Cancer at this time - turning direct on July 20 - it adds even more weight in terms of being able to look back on old wounds to remember and readdress, ultimately leading to healing and letting go of them. We may also connect strongly to divine energy at this time thanks to the intuitive and spiritual implications of Water signs. Perhaps what is most significant about this pattern is that, if you consider the cleansing powers of water, you may also notice that this will be a time of collectively feeling washed over in healing potential. When Mars takes over the Grand Trine pattern you'll see action motivated by ones emotions and instincts. Then, there will be an extended impact because as the Grand Trine between Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune begins to wind down we'll experience another Grand Water Trine as Mars in Cancer makes the same links to Saturn and Neptune on July 20.Īll in all, we can anticipate a stretch of 8-10 days where this beautiful, perfect triangle is blessing us. The Grand Trine between Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune will be exact on July 17, but you'll feel its influence building at least a couple days earlier. Pay attention to those gut feelings you have now and trust them because your awareness will be stronger.Īlso, with this pattern between Saturn and Neptune there will be an easy ability to create a solid framework around one of your most dreamy goals! And Jupiter will add expansive, positive potential to this! Expect plenty of psychic insights and precognitive dreams or impressions. In addition, when there is an abundance of Water energy, intuition is typically off the charts. something we sorely need right now in the world! Dream a little dream with me With this winning combination, there will be more compassion, nurturing, and penetrating insight into the emotional motivation of others during this time. Neptune in Pisces encourages us to dream the impossible dream and have unending faith in them. Saturn in Scorpio is helping us to realistically face any hidden demons in our closet, creating lasting emotional strength and stability. Jupiter in Cancer is all about abundance and prosperity in matters that nurture our soul. The very best of the Water elements expression will be available to us all. When you have a planet in every Water sign connecting in a trine, you can literally trace a triangle in the sky and this pattern is most fortunate. In the case of Water, those treasures will center on emotional matters and intuitive depth. Trines are the most supportive aspect in the zodiac - offering us bountiful treasures with little effort. But when each of the three Water signs holds a planet making a 120 degree link to each other, then you have what is known as a Grand Water Trine. When you have a 120 degree connection between two planets it's a trine aspect. Water signs are the "feelers" of the zodiac - and you can put yourself in a more stable position during this aspect with a Self-Healing analysis Tarot reading. These three outer planets are all in Water signs which symbolize emotion, intuition and sensitivity. What's so special about this planetary line up? Well, for starters, the link between Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio, and Neptune in Pisces is a rare one indeed. The most sublime, gorgeous spectacle in the sky will befall us as we're graced with an elegant Grand Water Trine. You'll begin to feel it as early as July 13 and it will linger until about July 22. The Grand Water Trine: Heaven Is a Place on Earth As planets in Water signs form a perfect triangle, your intuition will soar. The Hero4 Silver was the first GoPro with a touchscreen. Besides, and GoPro's not shy about adding features after the fact. Those features are coming, at least: GoPro recently scooped up Dashware, a company dedicated to exactly that kind of thing, so it's only a matter of updating the software, a GoPro rep told me. If you were hoping for Garmin-style data overlays showing your speed, height, location, etc., you'll have to wait a bit longer. While the Hero5 Black does have a GPS sensor, it doesn't do much right now other than tag your videos and photos with the location where you shot them. This seemingly obvious feature has been conspicuously absent from the Hero lineup - until now. Rugged cameras and GPS go together like jam and peanut butter. The benefits of not needing a case will likely outweigh the downsides for most people - though of course if you're invested in certain accessories, you'll need to consider whether the Hero5's other new features are enough to sweeten the deal. It's not ideal, but it might ease the transition for those with a sizable GoPro accessory kit. I tried jury-rigging the Hero5 into a Feiyu-Tech hand-held stabilizer (pro-tip: Use a hairband to hold it in place) and it worked pretty well. Ditto for any accessory that uses the rear connector, because the Hero5 no longer has one (now everything goes through either the USB-C or HDMI ports on the side). There is a downside to the new design, however: The Hero5 won't fit many accessories such as drone/hand-held stabilizers that were specifically designed for the Hero3 and 4. The classic "rattle" you hear on GoPro many water-based videos isn't yet a thing of the past, but the setup here is much less distracting. The rear LCD (also new) was still usable, though at times it took a few attempts to get my taps to register - something most phone owners can relate to.Īnother added benefit is that without a case, the camera's microphones record better audio both in the water and on land. I took the Hero5 Black for several prolonged dips in the Mediterranean, and it's much nicer to swim with the smaller camera. If you like, you can still buy a case for added protection up to 196 feet/60 meters. The native waterproofing works to "only" a depth of 33 feet/10 meters, but that should be good enough for the vast majority of people. The result is that the Hero5 Black is much more pocket-friendly, and you won't need to pry open the case just to charge it or access the memory card.īy subscribing, you are agreeing to Engadget's Terms and Privacy Policy. The upsides are obvious: Though the naked camera is a smidge bigger than the Hero4 Black (a millimeter or so each side), it's considerably smaller than the Hero4 encased in its housing (which is how you most often see it). This means you won't need a separate case to protect it. Perhaps the most obvious change with the Hero5 Black is that it's waterproof without a housing (the original Session and therefore new Hero5 Session already were). Many of the new features come to both the Session and the Hero5 Black, though the flagship Hero5 gets a few extra tricks to keep its position at the top. In fact, the Hero5 and Hero5 Session come with a bevy of updates that make the cameras much more useful. That doesn't mean there isn't anything new here. That's not a bad thing, per se - you can still record in 4K, with additional options for 2.7K/60fps, 1080p at up to 120fps, and super slow-mo 720p at 240fps (plus all the quirky formats like 1440 that GoPro users will be familiar with). In fact, the Hero5 Black's sensor is the same one found in the Hero4 Black. In particular, there's no 4K/60fps shooting mode, as some might have hoped for. But with the Hero5 you won't see any upgrades of that sort. The Hero5 Session gets an upgrade this time around, also joining the 30fps/4K club (the original Session maxed at 1440p). The first Hero HD was 1080p, the Hero2 added bumped photos to 11 megapixels from 5, and so on until the Hero4, which ushered in 4K at 30 frames per second. Until the Hero5, pretty much every new GoPro camera was defined by an increase in resolution. However, he theorizes that if they were able to gather enough life fibres that Senketsu and Junketsu could theoretically be restored to life. However, they are not as powerful as the originals, and are also non-sentient. Ryuuko and Satsuki give the remains of the life fibre armour to Shiro, who is able to reverse engineer the fibres into new Goku Uniforms for the Elite 4 a new pair of Kamui for Ryuuko and Satsuki. However, Nui still has a bit of Senketsu in her, and as such is a flawed being- whilst she is normally much the same as "old Nui" she is physically grossly deformed, and she exhibits occasional mental instability. She has discovered the technology to clone life fibres, and manages to bring Nui back to life from a single thread of life fibre. With her base of operations set up and fully fortified, Ragyo begins her next experiment- fully ressurecting Nui. However, they do manage to evacuate the city and they do defeat 1 warrior, and take the remains of her "armour" for analysis. Ryuuko and Satsuki notice fairly quickly and go to try and fight the uprising, armed with Nudist Beach tech courtesy of Tsumugu and Aikuro, but are unprepared for the sheer power of the new life fibre warriors- and when Maiko/Ragyo shows up they are pushed back out of the city. Soon a full-scale uprising of the life fibre cult erupts, with the intention of taking control of the city (I can't remember exactly where Ragyo's old HQ were). Still adopting the guise of Maiko, she manages to gather supporters and followers (as part of an insane cult worshipping life fibres she has created) who willingly put on her "Hidō iryō" (Infernal Clothing) and wreak havoc, with power close to that of a kamui. Her monsters become more and more advanced until she is able to make fully-sentient warriors rather than mere beasts. Using the collected life fibres, she began to kidnap unfortunate victims and splice them with the Senketsu/Nui life fibres, making them into horrendous monsters and unleashing them on the populace (keeping herself out of the line of fire of course). There, she built a device to harvest the remains of Senketsu from the atmosphere- which also contained Nui's life fibre DNA. After the graduation ceremony and Rei's failure to destroy Ryuuko and Satsuki, she took full control of Maiko and slipped away into hiding, discovering the remains of her old lab. She floated back down to Earth and possessed a suitable host body- Maiko Ogure. Rather she was "Playing possom" and simply disintegrated into still-living life fibres. It goes something like this: - When Ragyo crushed her heart at the end of the series, she didn't actually die. I had a crazy idea for a KLK season 2 which I actually got from a dream.
